PURPOSE:To reduce the filling amount of an adhesive and to make a battery compact and lightweight by coating the circumference of an intercell connector and the contact surface between the edge for terminal plate connection and a cover with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 is laid down at an angle of 90 deg., and the surface 5a, on the opening side of the container, of an intercell connector 5 and the gap between the intercell connector 5 and the notch 1a of a partition wall 1 are coated with an adhesive 8. The contact surface between the ledge 4A for connecting a terminal plate 7 and a cover is covered with an adhesive 8. With the container laid down or it returned to the original position, the cover is fitted to the container 3. Thereby, the need for forming the deep recess inside the cover is eliminated, and the need for filling the adhesive in the whole recess is also eliminated. |
