PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce parasitic capacitance between a data line and a cathode line by burying the data line in an interlayer dielectric layer and a gate dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION: A sub pixel is defined with a vertical intersection of a gate line and a data line(128) which are arranged on a substrate(110). A driving switching device applies a driving current to the sub pixel. A protection layer(118) is formed on the substrate with the data line and the driving switching device. An organic light emitting diode is formed on the protection layer in the sub pixel. The data line is formed on a buffer layer(112) via an interlayer dielectric layer(116) and a gate dielectric layer(114).
