<p>PURPOSE: A split magnet loudspeaker is provided to move a linear voice coil by maintaining magnetic flux density across a length of an air gap. CONSTITUTION: A magnet structure(100) comprises a core(102), a first magnet(104), a second magnet(106), a magnet housing(108), and a core cap(110). The magnet housing includes a base(112) and an extension part(114). A base of the magnet housing is expanded to be nearly vertical to a center shaft(115) of the magnet housing. The core located between the first and second magnets offers a path with low magnetic resistance to combined magnetic flux. The magnetic circuit can be formed with the first and the second magnet through the core, the magnet housing, the core cap, and a voice coil gap(116).</p> |
