PURPOSE: A steering device for a ship is provided to easily steer a ship through a simple operation of a direction control valve. CONSTITUTION: A steering device for a ship comprises an air tank(100), a direction control valve(200), a pneumatic cylinder(500), a piston, a slide part(600), and an operating unit(700). The air tank is fixed to a ship and stores compressed air created by an air compressor. The direction control valve is connected to the air tank through an air hose, fixed to the front part of the ship, and operated manually. The pneumatic cylinder has two ports and is connected through an air inlet hose to the direction control valve. The piston is installed inside the pneumatic cylinder and allowed to reciprocate. The slide part is extended to the rear side of the ship by passing through the cylinder, supported with a supporter fixed to the ship, and guided with the supporter to move back and forth. One end of the operating unit is hinged on the backend of the slide part while the other end is coupled with an external device of the ship. |
