PURPOSE: A sinking prevention system of a ship is provided to ensure normal operations of buoyant devices even in an emergency because the buoyant devices driven with sensors are installed according to inner and outer areas of a ship. CONSTITUTION: A sinking prevention system of a ship comprises an expansible buoyant device(1) and a control unit. The expansible buoyant device comprises an installation space formed in a hull, a housing box which is installed in the installation space and forms an open side connected to the interior or exterior of the hull, a buoyancy pocket which is accommodated in the housing box and can be drawn out of the housing box through the open side to create buoyancy, an air cylinder which is installed between the installation space and the housing box and provides gas or air to the buoyancy pocket according to commands of the control unit, and a plate which closes the open side of the housing box accommodating the buoyancy pocket and is opened by the expansion force of the buoyancy pocket in an emergency. The control unit is installed in the hull and controls the operation of the expansible buoyant device.
