PURPOSE: An air foil shape for a compressor is provided to enable the thickness of a blade to be customized to the height of the blade according to the operative characteristics of a turbo machine. CONSTITUTION: A rotor blade(102) substantially has a nominal surface profile according to orthogonal coordinates X, Y, Z. The X and Y indicate mm length. The X and Y form an air foil profile section at each distance Z in mm, when being connected by a smooth continuous arc. The air foil profile sections at the distance Z are smoothly coupled to form a complete air foil(204) shape. The nominal surface profile according to the orthogonal coordinates X, Y, Z substantially comprises points within±1mm in a direction perpendicular to any surface of the complete air foil shape. |
