PURPOSE: A portable apparatus for controlling temperature and a method thereof for vehicles are provided to reduce internal pressure and fan load because the inflow of outdoor air is prevented and indoor air is automatically discharged if over a critical pressure. CONSTITUTION: A portable apparatus for controlling temperature in vehicles comprises an accommodating box(20), a hose(16), a first temperature sensor(18), a solenoid valve, and a controller. The accommodating box has a cover and a bottom body with double wall. A through-hole is formed in the predetermined part of the cover and a coupling projection is formed at the edge of the through-hole. The hose forms a cooling air circulating path. The first temperature sensor detects the temperature of the outlets of an air conditioner. The second temperature sensor detects the internal temperature of the accommodating box. The solenoid valve controls the circulation of the cooling air.
