PURPOSE: A parking assist system and a method for assigning an ID to a vehicle sensor installed therein are provided to assign IDs to each vehicle sensor regardless of the position of the sensors and the state of a master. CONSTITUTION: A parking assist system comprises a BCM(Body Control Module) and multiple vehicle sensors(SENSOR#1, SENSOR#2, SENSOR#3, SENSOR#4). The BCM outputs enable signals for ID codes. The vehicle sensors sense obstacles. Each vehicle sensor comprises a pin group composed of multiple LID(Location Identification) pins(LID1, LID2, LID3). The LID pins selectively receive the enable signals and assign each ID code to the vehicle sensors. |
