PURPOSE: A quench sensing system for a superconductive fault current limiter is provided to control an operation by blocking a current when the current exceeds a preset value. CONSTITUTION: A current measuring circuit(10,20) is connected to a differential protection relay(13). A superconductive fault current limiter(1) generates a current in proportion to a voltage. The current of the current measuring circuit is compared with a preset current value and is supplied to the differential protection relay. The differential protection relay operates a trigger device of a circuit breaker(2) when the current exceeds the current value. |
