PURPOSE: A kit for detecting HIV-2 in a test sample and a detection method using the same are provided for quick detection in real-time. CONSTITUTION: A kit for detecting HIV-2 contains: a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 1 and 9 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 2 and 6 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 2 and 7 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having a nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 2 and 8 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 2 and 9 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 3 and 8 and a probe having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10; a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence number 4 and 8 and a probe having a nucleotide of sequence number 10; or a primer set having nucleotide sequences of sequence numbers 5 and 8 and a prober having a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 10.
