PURPOSE: A terminal and a controlling method thereof are provided to recognize an input signal of a user and to control a terminal through the environmental information of each user. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) receives an input signal of a user. A human body information detecting unit(120) detects the human information of the user from the input signal of the user. A user discriminating unit(130) distinguishes the user using the human information of the user. A controlling unit(140) distinguishes the user of the input signal through the user information.
