The device has a metal strip (13) e.g. copper strip, fixed on a perpendicular bus (3) of a plate (11) e.g. wafer, and alternately comprising interconnection zones (14) and non-connection zones (15), where length of the non-connection zones is larger than distance between the successive interconnection zones. The metal strip is mechanically and electrically connected to the bus via the interconnection zones, and is not mechanically connected to the bus via the non-connection zones. The strip electrically connects collecting conductors of the plate at discontinuous zones of the conductors. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for forming electrical conductors on a plate of a photovoltaic device (2) a method for fabricating a photovoltaic cell.
