The method involves unblocking a product on a display case (1) in response to the detection of presence of a personal identification unit at the proximity of the display case offering the product. The removal of the product of the display case is detected. The identification data of the removed product is recorded. The remaining products on the display case are relocked when the presence of the identification unit is not detected. The set of products taken out by the client is recognized, and the billing is realized at an outlet of a consumption area.
