<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an inverter to be cooled with proper cooling performance according to a heating amount of inverter switching elements in a system provided with a cooling device for cooling the inverter. <P>SOLUTION: A higher one of switching frequencies for first and second inverters 22 and 23 is set as a switching frequency for inverter cooling control. Further, a higher one of motor outputs for first and second AC motors 12 and 13 is set as a motor output for inverter cooling control. A target cooling water flow rate for inverter cooling control according to the switching frequency and motor output for inverter cooling control is calculated, and an electric water pump 39 is driven so that a flow rate of cooling water for a cooling device 40 may be the target cooling water flow rate. This makes it possible to properly respond to variation in the heating amount of inverter switching elements due to any change in the switching frequency and motor output, which changes a flow rate of the cooling water, so that the cooling performance of the cooling device 40 can vary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
