<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which is excellent in reducing a burden on a user for enabling reception of second broadcast such as satellite broadcast as an alternative to first broadcast such as terrestrial broadcast. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver is provided with detection means and control means. The detection means detects a receiving state of a first broadcast.
