<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus capable of measuring the length of a separation part between connection parts and an interval (period) between separation parts without generating coat peeling, disconnection, separation between connection parts, and so on even in a state that tension is applied to an optical fiber tape core in inline even in the optical fiber tape core configured by intermittently connecting a plurality of optical fiber strands in parallel. <P>SOLUTION: The inspection apparatus comprises: a guide roller 9 having a guide groove 9a of which the groove width is not less than the width of the optical fiber tape core 1a and which has at least one step part 9b on a bottom; and a measuring instrument 10 for measuring an interval between edge parts of the optical fiber tape core 1a guided by the guide roller 9, the number of edges or surface ruggedness. On a place where optical fiber strands 1 are not mutually connected, the optical fiber strands 1 are mutually separated by the step part 9b, separation between the optical fiber strands 1 is measured by the edge interval, the number of edges or the ruggedness, and the length and period of a non-connection place are measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
