<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint with which a squeeze-off water stopping method can be applied to an expansion pipe as required, while regulating an expansion and contraction width in a pipe axial direction of the expansion pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe joint includes: a pair of fluid pipes 3, 3 disposed opposing to each other and each having a locking part 3h on an outer circumferential face 3g thereof; an expansion pipe 2 with both ends in a direction of the pipe axis C being water-tightly connected to the pair of fluid pipes 3, 3; and an outer cover 4 having a divided structure that is attachable and detachable in a radial direction and having a locking object part 4f to be locked with the locking part 4h so as to regulate an expansion or contraction width of the expansion pipe 2 along the direction of the pipe axis C to a prescribed width, the expansion pipe expanding or contracting following the pair of fluid pipes 3 that relatively move in the direction of the pipe axis C, by externally covering both of the locking parts 3h, 3h and the expansion pipe 2.
