Heat transfer pipe assembly - has refrigerant flow controlled by valve formed by bimetallic disc

The heat transfer pipe transfers heat from a heat source (1) to a heat sink (2). The heat transfer medium (5) consists of a refrigerant which evaporates at the operating temp. and flows upwards from the liq. space (1`) to the vapour space (2`). The upward flow of vapour and the return flow of liq. is controlled by a valve which is formed by a bi-metallic disc (7) with a central hole (8). When the temp. rises above a defined level the disc (7) deflects downwards to allow vapour to flow through the hole (8). USE - Heat transfer device.
