<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform starter control upon establishment of a restart condition, when performing meshing of a pinion and a ring gear before the establishment of the restart condition. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU30 controls movement of the pinion 15 to the ring gear 22 side by current-carrying control of a coil 16 so that the pinion 15 and the ring gear 22 will mesh each other until engine rotation speed reaches zero after engine combustion stop at the time of an engine automatic stop. At this point, the ECU30 calculates a reverse rotation amount when the engine rotation is reversed after the start of movement of the pinion 15, and determines whether the pinion gear 15 and the ring gear 22 are meshed or not on the basis of the reverse rotation amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
