A control method for a radiation therapy device according to the present invention is provided with a step of moving an image pickup device to a position and taking a perspective image on the basis of radiation emitted from a first irradiation device with the use of the image pickup device and a step of moving the image pickup device to the position and taking a perspective image on the basis of radiation emitted from a second irradiation device with the use of the image pickup device. According to the control method for the radiation therapy device as described above, the radiation therapy device does not have to be provided with the image pickup device that takes the perspective image by using a first radiation emitted from the first irradiation device and the image pickup device that takes the perspective image by using the radiation emitted from the second irradiation device separately, making it possible to manufacture the device at a lower cost.
