The present invention relates to a golf tee device, comprising a drive for displacing the vertical position of at least the upper outer end of the tee between a high and a low position, a feed mechanism for feeding a golf ball to the upper outer end of the tee in the low position, a sensor for measuring the load on the drive during displacement and an interrupter for the drive when the load exceeds a predetermined value. The invention further relates to a method for operating such a golf tee device. |
