The engine has a cylindrical drum (2) which is provided with hole-shaped piston recess portion (3b) around a rotational axis. The piston is supported by rolling element (W) at stroke-producing raceway (6). The piston is tilted between rolling element and raceway, so as to support piston by hole-shaped piston recess of cylindrical drum. The piston in the region of rolling element is subjected to input tilting movement along transverse direction of raceway.
