<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the probability of occurrence of electrostatic discharge of a semiconductor light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 440 comprises: LED chips 21 mounted on a primary surface of a substrate 10; and conductive members 30 provided in the substrate 10 so as to project outside the primary surface of the substrate 10 from the surface opposite to the primary surface. The conductive members 30 are electrically connected to a conductive heat sink 470.
