<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device of a manual transmission for an automobile which reduces variations in operation load during select operation. <P>SOLUTION: The shift device 11 of a manual transmission for an automobile includes: a casing; a shift lever 2 rotatably held by the casing; a holding member 3 oscillated in conjunction with the shift lever 2; a lock ball pin 4 which has a rotatable roller 41, a lock ball pin body 43 for rotatably holding the rotatable roller 41, and an expansible/contractible spring 42 whose one end is fixed to the holding member 3 and whose the other end is fixed to the lock ball pin body 43; a cam member 5 having a cam surface 51, which is rotatable in contact with the rotatable roller 41, and relatively oscillably fixed to the lock ball pin 4; and a damper 6 for restricting the expansion and contraction of the spring 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
