<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cover capable of improving the muffling effect, and efficiently executing the heat radiation. <P>SOLUTION: In the engine cover 10, a sound absorbing material 20 formed of resin foam is fixed inside a cover body 11 of a tray structure. The cover body 11 has an air inlet port 15 and an air outlet port 17 for introducing the outside air therein so as to flow between the sound absorbing material 20 and an engine 90. A pair of noise introducing ports 28, 29 are formed in the sound absorbing material 20 so as to be longitudinally arranged in the air flowing direction. A Helmholtz resonator chamber 27 is formed between the sound absorbing material 20 and the cover body 11 so as to perform the communication between the pair of noise introducing ports 28, 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
