摘要 [Problem] To provide an integrated member and manufacturing method therefor that make it possible to: decrease manufacturing costs by reducing the number of manufacturing steps needed to obtain an integrated member comprising members that have mutually differing required characteristics and are welded together into a single unit; and increase yield by minimizing cracks and the like upon welding. [Solution] An integrated member and a manufacturing method therefor, said integrated member being obtained through the following steps: an electric resistance welding step (S2) in which a shaft component (3) is made from a member that has a higher carbon content than an annular component (2), and while the shaft component (3) is being pressed into the annular component (2), a current is run through the contact area, thereby integrating the shaft component (3) and annular component (2) together via electric resistance welding; and a carburized-layer formation step (S4) in which carburized layers are formed on the shaft component (3) and annular component (2), in accordance with the characteristics required of each component, by either carburizing or carbonitriding the integrated member obtained in the electric resistance welding step (S2) and then quenching and tempering said integrated member.
