<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply image processing using more precise filtering while suppressing an increase in arithmetic circuits. <P>SOLUTION: A frame image is input. N, first to n-th, intermediate images are generated from the frame image. N, first to n-th, sub-filters generated from an original filter divided, and relative position information about pixels referred to by each sub-filter are held. With respect to a pixel of interest of the i-th (1≤i≤N) intermediate image, pixel values of the intermediate image in relative positions indicated by the relative position information of the i-th sub-filter are collected. The pixel value of the pixel of interest of the i-th subframe image is computed from operation values resulting from the application of the i-th sub-filter to the collected pixel values, so that N subframe images are created. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
