<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation inrush current suppressor capable of controlling a closing phase for suppressing an excitation inrush current to a circuit breaker which opens and closes a connection between an AC three-phase power system equipped with a power supply and a transformer that converts an AC three-phase voltage into two sets of AC single-phase voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A excitation inrush current suppressor 6 which suppresses an excitation inrush current to a circuit breaker 2 that opens and closes connection between a power supply bus 1 and a Scott connection transformer 3, measures an AC three-phase voltage on a side of the Scott connection transformer 3, calculates a residual magnetic flux between three lines of the Scott connection transformer 3 after breaking, detects the lines having the largest residual magnetic flux, measures the AC three-phase voltage of the power supply bus 1, calculates a steady magnetic flux between the three lines of the Scott connection transformer 3, closes two phases corresponding to the detected lines of the circuit breaker 2 in such a phase as the residual magnetic flux substantially matches the steady magnetic flux, and then closes the remaining phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
