<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniform dispersibility of the metal compound by devising a kneading process of a specific metal compound, thereby ensuring impulse resistance, when the metal compound is blended in a polyamide resin composition forming a gas barrier layer of a refrigerant transporting hose to prevent the gas barrier layer from being degraded by a refrigerant, a compressor oil or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A polyamide resin composition includes: a polyamide resin (a); a polyolefin elastomer (b); and at least one metal compound (c) selected from the group consisting of hydroxides, oxides and carbonates of divalent and trivalent metals. In a method for producing the polyamide resin composition, the metal compound (c) and the polyolefin elastomer (b) are kneaded together, and the obtained kneaded product and the polyamide resin (a) are kneaded together.
