<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that a coating material using conventional nano silica powder has low adhesion when it is not mixed with an organic substance and the organic substance has low weather resistance and cannot withstand long-term use owing to secular changes. <P>SOLUTION: A basic nano silica coating agent is characterized in that a paste mixture prepared by kneading nano silica powder having an average particle diameter of ≤50 nm with a solvent is timely diluted and used. Thus, a nano silica coating agent having good adhesion can be provided even when it is not mixed with the organic substance.
