METHOD OF PRODUCING PARTICLES

A method of producing metal particles having a mean greatest dimension of from about 0.5nm to 20nm is provided, the method comprising : (i) Generating precursor particles; (ii) Contacting the precursor particles with a substantially inert liquid substrate having a viscosity of from 104 to 106mPa.s; and (iii) Separating the particles and substrate from one another.
