<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system allowing a user whose cache data is not retained in a compound machine to log in the compound machine by being authenticated by a user whose cache data is retained in the compound machine. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus acquires user information of a user using a compound machine, determines whether or not the user information is contained in a cache data table of the compound machine, when determining that it is not contained therein, receives a selection of a user who authenticates the use of the compound machine by the user from the user whose data is contained in the cache data table and, when the user information of the selected authentication user is present in the cache data table of the compound machine, allows the user to use the compound machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
