<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma generating device capable of more stably producing radicals, a method for producing radicals, a washing and cleaning device using the plasma generating device, and a compact electrical appliance. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma generating device 1 comprises: a first electrode 12 disposed in a gas housing part 5; and a second electrode 13 disposed so that at least a portion of a side opposite to the first electrode 12 is brought into contact with a liquid 17 inside a liquid housing part 4. Plasma is generated in a gas region inside the liquid 17 in the liquid housing part 4 by generating discharge between the first electrode 12 and the second electrode 13, and a hydroxyl radical is produced from water contained in the liquid 17 and oxygen contained in the gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
