<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack device which holds a compact shape, controls temperature easily and has a plurality of unit cells. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of the unit cells each have a rectangular thick plate-like shape and are arranged side by side in one direction so that a back surface and a belly surface or back surfaces or belly surfaces are opposed to each other. Moreover, a closed container surrounds the whole of the plurality of the unit cells.
