<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable charger for vehicles that suppresses a theft during the charge. <P>SOLUTION: A portable charger for vehicles has: a main body case 1; an input terminal 16 and an output terminal 18 provided to the main body case 1; an input line 11 led from the input terminal 16 to outside the main body case 1; an output line 13 led from the output terminal 18 to outside the main body case 1; a current carrying path connecting between the input terminal 16 and the output terminal 18 in the main body case 1; a rechargeable battery 23 and a controller 22 connected to the current carrying path; a PLC (Power Line Communication) communication controller 21 connected to the controller 22; and alarm means 24.
