摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility between prevention of hunting of engine start and stop and improvement of fuel consumption during traveling with mode transitions. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for controlling a hybrid vehicle includes an engine 1, a motor-generator 2, a first clutch 4 and a mode transition control means (Fig. 9). The motor-generator 2 is disposed in a drive system from the engine 1 to tires 7, 7 to perform a start of the engine 1 and drive for the tires 7, 7 according to motor acceleration and power generation according to regeneration. The first clutch 4 switches between an HEV mode and an EV mode.
