<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove surely the internal strain and warpage of a glass ribbon by curtailing as much as possible of the posture disorders in the glass ribbon in an annealing step. <P>SOLUTION: In an annealing zone 3 included in the manufacturing step of a glass plate, a glass ribbon G is curved laterally in the width direction to thereby form a curved part 5, and besides the glass ribbon G, in the upper and lower parts of at least one part of the region in the width direction, is made to turn over in the front and back faces in the uneveness direction of the curved part 5, resulting in that the glass ribbon G has a heightened folding resistance in the vertical direction and in the width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
