<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high heat-resistant alloy and a coating containing the alloy. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the alloy containing: 10-30 at% of Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh, Ru and a Pt group metal selected from a group consisting a combination thereof; 10-22 at% of Al; 0.5-2 at% of Hf, Y, La, Ce, Zr and a reaction element selected from a group consisting a combination thereof; and the balance of Ni, in which the concentraion of the Al, Ni, Pt group metal and the reaction element is selected so that γNi+γ'Ni<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Al two-phase composition is generated and βNiAl is not generated.
