<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake shoe, capable of reducing damage to an abutting surface of a brake shoe head while suppressing the wear of an attaching part, and capable of being manufactured at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The brake shoe 10 for a railroad vehicle includes: a base plate 12, for which lining 14 is stuck on a surface facing a wheel; and an attaching part 18, bonded to the surface on the opposite side of the surface on which the lining 14 is stuck in the base plate 12. The attaching part 18 comprises a plate member including first sidewalls 22a and 22b, having a plate surface along a braking force adding direction in the base plate 12, and second sidewalls 26a and 26b having a plate surface along a direction orthogonal to the braking force adding direction, and is formed by welding at least the first sidewalls 22a and 22b onto the base plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
