<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker equipped with a function which satisfies a user who does not want warmth to be retained after cooking rice. <P>SOLUTION: In the rice cooker for retaining warmth after cooking rice, a warmth retaining selection key 5 and a warmth retaining operation switch means 27 are provided as means for selecting whether or not to retain warmth before cooking rice. The user operates the warmth selection key 5 and appropriately selects before cooking rice whether or not to retain warmth after cooking rice.
