<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a full state of waste toner in a waste toner recovery container by a detection sensor disposed in the waste toner recovery container even when a conveying force for waste toner of a conveying member in the container in the axial direction is low, considering a positional relation between the detection sensor and the conveying member in the container. <P>SOLUTION: The waste toner recovery container for recovering waste toner discharged from an image carrier or a transfer conveying member in an image forming apparatus includes at least one toner amount detecting means detecting the amount of recovered waste toner and a waste toner conveying member for conveying the recovered waste toner inside the recovery container. The waste toner conveying member is extended over one side face of the recovery container to the other side opposing to the one side. The toner amount detecting means is disposed on one side face of the recovery container, and the waste toner conveying member rotates in such a manner that the toner amount detecting means is located in an upstream side, starting from a position of 6 o'clock of a clock, in the rotation direction of the waste toner conveying member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
