#CMT# #/CMT# The structure (1) has a protective shell (4) directly attached to a dome surface of a reactor dome (2) for protecting the structure against colliding flying objects. The shell includes an inner protective layer made of concrete and/or reinforced concrete, which exhibit higher ductility than that of the reactor dome of the structure. Steel reinforcement elements are recognizable in a reinforced concrete casing (3) of the dome.
