A description is given of a forging apparatus having forging tools (5) which are arranged centrally symmetrically about a forging axis (2) and of which the tool carriers (4), which are guided radially in a framework (3), are connected to lifting drive mechanisms (7), which each have a connecting rod (8) supported in a pivotable manner, via abutments (9, 10), on a housing (1), on the one hand, and on the tool carrier (4), on the other hand, and having a common drive for the lifting drive mechanisms (7), this drive comprising a torsional-vibration drive (11) for at least one actuator (12), which is mounted such that it can be rotated about the forging axis (2) and is intended for one of the two abutments (9, 10) of the connecting rods (8). In order to ensure advantageous design conditions, it is proposed that the framework (3) forms the actuator (12) of the common drive for the lifting drive mechanisms (7) and that the torsional-vibration drive(11) is provided between the housing (1) and the framework (3), which is mounted in the housing (1) such that it can be rotated about the forging axis (2). |
