Methods for emulating an example photograph with an imaging system include selecting an example photograph from a database of image profiles each including information related to a photographic setup, including one or more settings for equipment therein, for taking the example photograph, determining, from information in the corresponding image profile, a value for a parameter of a device of the imaging system, and transmitting, to the device, a command signal to set the parameter of the device to the determined value. Search queries of the database may be based on equipment of, or available for use with, the imaging system, to return a set of example photographs achievable with the capabilities of the equipment. A commander device includes a command module to retrieve information from such a database and determine therefrom suitable values for imaging system equipment, and a transmission module to transmit corresponding command signals to imaging system equipment. |
