<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of easily implementing synchronization between an optical pulse of a laser beam and modulation of the laser beam with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device 200 for recording information in an optical recording medium 21 comprises: a mode-locked laser section 210 including a semiconductor laser 1 and an external resonator; optical modulation means 2 for performing amplification and modulation on a laser beam emitted from the mode-locked laser section 210; a reference signal generation section 15 for generating a master clock signal and supplying a signal synchronized with the master clock signal to a gain section 116 of the semiconductor laser 1; a recording signal generation section 16 for generating a recording signal on the basis of the master clock signal; and a driving circuit 17 for generating a driving pulse for driving the optical modulation means 2 on the basis of the recording signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
