NOISE SIGNAL REMOVAL DEVICE, METHOD OF REMOVING NOISE SIGNAL AND OPTICAL RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an SNR of reception signals by removing signal noise due to an ASE generated in an optical amplifier and a nonlinear optical effect.

SOLUTION: A noise signal removal device is loaded on an optical receiver, and includes: a sampling part for detecting one value inside a unit time slot of digital electric signals; a branch part for branching the detected value into two and outputting them; an absolute value computing part for converting a frequency of the digital electric signals to zero by computing an absolute value for one branched output; a low-pass filter part for removing amplitude noise by removing high frequency components of the computed absolute value; a code function part for performing positive/negative determination of a code for the other branched output and outputting a positive/negative identification value; a multiplication part for calculating a sampling value from which noise is removed by multiplying the output of the low-pass filter and the output of the code function part; and an identification determination part for determining 0 and 1 of a bit for the output of the multiplication part.
