<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of performing effective cooling for a light source device and suppressing light leakage while achieving its weight reduction. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes an exhaust fan 41 for discharging the cooling air used to cool the light source device to the outside, an exhaust duct 5 for guiding the cooling air used to cool the light source device to the exhaust fan 41 and a first sheet metal member 7 and a second sheet metal member 8 arranged inside of the exhaust duct 5 in the direction from the light source device to the exhaust fan 41.
