<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of improving heat exchanging efficiency by increasing a suction air volume to a heat exchanger, of indoor air without increasing a feeling of pressure to a dweller, and shielding a front side of a supply opening. <P>SOLUTION: A suction opening and the supply opening 11 are formed on an indoor unit body 1, and the indoor heat exchanger 13 and an indoor blower 14 are disposed therein. The supply opening is formed at a front lower section of the indoor unit body, and the suction opening is constituted of a top suction opening 5 formed on a top section of the indoor unit body, and a front lower suction opening 10 disposed along an upper edge of the supply opening and opposed to a lower end section of the heat exchanger. An opening/closing panel 7 is disposed on a front section of the front lower suction opening. The opening/closing panel is connected to a driving mechanism K to be rotated and driven, shields the front section of the front lower suction opening, and shields a front section of the supply opening during stopping an air conditioning operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
