<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pneumatic tire that uses a polymer laminate having reduced thickness and superior air permeability resistance for inner liner, the method that does not cause an air-in phenomenon between an inner liner and a carcass by preventing adhesion of the inner liner to a bladder, and to provide the pneumatic tire. <P>SOLUTION: A green tire is prepared which contains a first layer having a thickness of 0.05-0.6 mm comprising a styrene-isobutylene-styrene triblock copolymer, and a second layer comprising at least either of a second-a layer comprising a styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymer or a second-b layer comprising a styrene-isobutylene diblock copolymer, wherein a polymer laminate of which second layer has a thickness of 0.01-0.3 mm is used as an inner liner 9. The green tire is mounted in a mold for vulcanization with pressurization by the bladder to obtain a vulcanized tire.
