<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying a surface which can impart excellent lubricity on the surface of a resin member and is excellent durability of the lubricity; and to provide a resin member having excellent surface lubricity and excellent lubricity durability. <P>SOLUTION: A surface of a resin member constituted of a polymeric compound having carbon or a resin composition containing the polymeric compound is exposed to an ion beam under reduced pressure in the presence of a mixed gas of argon and hydrogen to thereby implant the ion beam in the resin member. Then, part of or the entire of bonds of carbon atoms located at the vicinity portion of the surface of the resin member is converted to diamond bonds or graphite bonds, thereby modifying the surface vicinity portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
